Car Owner's Insurance:
California law requires car owners to carry a minimum of
liability and collision insurance. Most companies will not insure you unless you
already have a California driver's license. It is advisable to ask several different
insurance companies/brokers for estimates of their charges, before choosing the
best offer for yourself. A variety of insurance companies are listed in the "yellow
pages" of our local telephone directories.
Car Rentals/Credit Cards:
Renting a car
without a credit card (such as MasterCard, Visa, etc) can be difficult. Since the
application period for obtaining acredit card inside the U.S. can be lengthy, it
is best to bring one with you if you think you plan to rent a car in the U.S.
