Document Upload Help

  • I don't have my UCSB NetID yet. How do I log in?

Sorry, you will need to wait until you have received your NetID.

Approximately 5-10 days after submitting your SIR (Statement of Intent to Register), you will be able to get your UCSB NetID Once you have your NetID, you can log in to the OISS Document Upload System.
  • I have a NetID but I can’t log in.

Please wait an hour and try again. If you are unable to log in after 4 attempts, please contact us.

  • I uploaded an incorrect document. How do I upload the correct document?

It's easy! Just upload the new document as you uploaded the previous documents. If you have multiple copies of the same document, OISS will use the most recent version.

  • Can I delete a document I uploaded?

Sorry, there is no way to delete documents, but you can easily upload a corrected document.
Don't worry. Our advisors look at each record carefully before processing your Certificate of Eligibility (I-20 or DS-2019). We will contact you immediately if we have any questions or concerns.
  • I'm not sure, but I might attend the Summer Workshop.

Great! We strongly recommend the English Language & American Culture Summer Workshop!
If you will be attending a summer program such as the EL&AC Summer Workshop, we will adjust the date on your Certificate of Eligibility (I-20 or DS-2019) so you can enter the U.S. earlier (up to 30 days before the start of your program).
Before we adjust the date on your Certificate of Eligibility, we will verify that you have actually applied to the program.
So, if you indicated that you are planning to attend a summer program, don't wait to apply.
  • I uploaded all my documents, but my Certificate of Eligibility hasn't been shipped yet!

Please allow up to 6 weeks for your I-20 or DS-2019 to be mailed. Each document must be individually prepared and verified. Most students will receive their Certificate of Eligibility much sooner.
You will be notified when your I-20 or DS-2019 is in the mail.
